Weird track for the drums. That snare is the same mechanical sounding high-tension snare I used on Machine Red, with wires on the batter and resonant head. It was massively difficult to mix and ended up sounding mostly sampled despite only being reinforced in the mix by a sample of itself. Even the flam-drags leading into Nate's solo, which have no samples, sound like a drum machine to me. It's just weird, like a pipe-band snare.
